X-Ray Thickness Measurement Equipment
The measurement method employed is transmission absorption measurement, where the direct physical quantity measured is the areal density (basis weight). When X-rays penetrate a material, they are reflected, scattered, or absorbed by the material, resulting in some attenuation of the X-ray intensity. The amount of attenuation is directly proportional to the areal density of the material being penetrated.
When the bulk density of the material remains constant or is highly consistent, the thickness of the material can be measured by converting the bulk density (areal density = density * thickness).
The X-ray thickness gauge is a low-energy radiation device, and the X-rays can be turned on and off via the power supply, generally requiring no special shielding.
X-ray thickness gauges typically use an O-type scanning frame.
The X-ray emitter utilizes a dual closed-loop control system, ensuring long-term stability of the X-ray intensity and high measurement repeatability. The X-ray detector incorporates advanced preamplifier circuit technology from Germany, offering a high signal-to-noise ratio.
The X-ray emitter features a proprietary slit-type X-ray collimation channel and a small spot design. Combined with a high signal-to-noise ratio detector and sophisticated software algorithms, it delivers superior spatial resolution accuracy and enhanced defect recognition capabilities.
